Socialize This Catch Words For Copywriting - Words That Grab!

September 29th, 2006 under 2:Home Business Promotion. [ Comments: none ]

Certain words, when combined together, literally drawthe readers eyes to your ad…the words below are those I have found to work every time.

You - Ultimate - Free - Master - Power - Discovery - Easy - G.uaranteed - Love - Money - New - Scientific - Proven - Results - Incredible - Discover - Breakthrough - Secret - Private - Cash - Shocked - Shocking - Revealed - Uncovered - Hidden - Profit’s - Inside - Sex…Sex?

Yes Sex…used only in certain situations where it can apply though. For example, when I wrote the headline “Sex Sites Are Not The Only Ones That Can Pull In $5000 A Week Using The Power of I.nstant Access!” ..it immediately added about $50,000 to my income last year. Just that one headline!

I thought it was a unique angle because all you heard on the news for months was how people where making big money with porno sites. You never heard about those of us who where making great money without selling sex.

Some example headlines using those words above:

“Revealed! - Scientifically Proven Strategies Guaranteed
To Double Your Profit’s Every Month or You Keep The
System For Free!

“Master The Art of Building Web Pages In 30 Minutes
With This Proven, Easy to Use Software!”

“Breakthrough Money-Making Secrets That Sex Sites
Do Not Want You To Find Out About - Uncovered And
Revealed Inside!”

Power words, like those above, are already implanted deeply in the minds of all your readers simply because of what the words mean.

For example, when I see the word ” Discovery “, it evokes a response from within me and draws my attention to the rest of the sentence because Discovery ‘means’ something to me and most other people.

The Discovery might give me a great advantage before you and others find out if I read about it first. People love to discover things and the word attracts them instantly when they see it.

Just like the words ‘Scientific Breakthrough’ will immediately draw the attention of most everyone. I can not pass up a headline that has those two words in it. If I see those two words I will always read the rest of your headline. And if the rest of your headline is something I am interested in, then you are well on your way to a new customer.

If the Scientific Breakthrough had to do with a new kind of Hair Growth Formula then I would move on with no interest.

BUT…you at least got me to read the ‘full’ headline…and you got a lot of other people to read it too!

If the Scientific Breakthrough had to do with making money you would have had me hooked into reading more and possibly all of your letter.

You got the attention of the maximum number of people with the first two words, then, with the rest of the headline,
you weeded out those with no interest and hooked your target prospects.

We love things to be revealed , we love secrets, hidden things, proven things and shocking things…we always have and always will.

Try using some or all of these techniques in your own copywriting and watch your profits soar.

Socialize This Blogging For Business

September 23rd, 2006 under Blogging For Profit. [ Comments: 1 ]

As of today blogs are an absolute essential tool to every business owner. Blogs and other social networking websites are quickly becoming the new focus of the internet. If you are not involved in blogging and you are trying to promote a business online, you are seriously missing out on a lot of potential clients and partners.

If you are new to the blog scene and are ready to get started you have a few different choices. One of the quickest methods is to setup a free blogger account at http://www.blogger.com which is a free blogging community owned by Google. You can actually signup, choose a template and post your first blog in a matter of minutes.

There are many other free blogging communities out there however blogger is the most popular and it is owned by Google so you can rest assured that your blog will be indexed in the Google search engine.

Another option, if you have your own website is to use a popular blogging program called Wordpress which can be found at http://www.Wordpress.com. Wordpress is a fantastic free program with all sorts of good plug-ins and templates. The blog you are reading right now is a Wordpress blog. The thing I like the most about Wordpress is a little feature that will ping a list of blog search engines after each one of your post. I have developed a long comprehensive list of blog search engines which is located in the “free Stuff” section in this blog.

I am currently working on a video which will show how to upload and configure a Wordpress blog and where I am done you will have access to it HERE.

Once you have a blog setup, you will need to post on regular basis as this is what keeps people coming back. As your posts get indexed in the search engines your blog will become more popular and of course popularity is what you’re after with blogs.

Socialize This Get Reciprocal Links FAST

September 14th, 2006 under Search Engine Optimization. [ Comments: none ]

I was on a conference call with a “Marketing Guru” the other day and he was talking about search engine optimization. He mentioned that he got to talk to one of the top manager over at Google and got some good information. Basically the new Google algorithm now places much more importance on reciprocal links than one way back links.

After hearing this I thought that all of my work had been done in vein. Every day I work my but off submitting articles, submitting to link directories, posting in forums and many other methods all with the intention of building up back links. I was really quite bummed, but then I had an epiphany.

Eureka! all of my work has not NOT been done in vein because all of those back links are just sitting there waiting to be reciprocated. Do you see it? Has the light bulb gone off in your head yet?

Let me explain by using an example In the next sentence. Just the other day I submitted an article to Idea Marketers, which by the way is one of my favorite article marketing websites. Anyway, my article is hosted on their website and at the bottom they have a link pointing back to my website’s home page. The hypertext link says something like ‘make money with articles’ and it is in fact a live hyperlink that opens my page in a new window.

Now what I just did in the previous paragraph was to turn my once lonely one-way back link into a full fledge reciprocal link. I simply placed a link on my website (in my blog) pointing back to Idea Marketers.
Do you understand?
Do you see the potential here?

Im so excited about this discovery and its so easy. You don’t even have to write a blog spot about it or even link to the exact page that holds your article. All you really have to do is set up an extra links page on your website and link to other websites where your liks are stored.

Here is a quick and easy tutorial for getting reciprocal links from all of those lonely back links:

First you make a links page on your website. Here you will place links to other websites.

Next you should go and download the SEO Toolbar. Some antivirus programs may pick this toolbar up as adware, but I assure you it is not. It is a great little tool to get some good info about your website and track your results.

Now it’s time to populate your links page.
First put a link to all of the forums you regularly post to. You do NOT have to link to each of your posts, you will only need to link to the forum’s home page.
After that link to all of the sites that you know are hosting your articles, which should also have a link back to your website.
Now it’s time to use that toolbar and find other sites that are hosting your articles. Simply go to your website and press the “Get Data” button. This should return some results in the toolbar, which will show you how may back links are indexed in Google, Yahoo, MSN and AOL. Simply click on each of those numbers and they will bring you to the corresponding search engine where you can see a list of sites which have your link on them. Just go down the list and copy the home URL’s and paste them in your links page.

Voila, you are done! You have now created valuable reciprocal links from all of your less valuable back links.
Its really just that simple!

Have fun with it!

Socialize This Your Domain On A Free Hosting Service

September 13th, 2006 under Website Development. [ Comments: none ]

I just wanted to write a quick tutorial about how to make your domain name point to your free hosting service.

If you have ever used a free hosting service, then you know how unprofessional their URL’s can look to your potential customers. There is a way around this however and it only cost about $8. Basically you will buy your own domain name and make it forward to your free hosting website.

So first you need to setup a website at the free hosting service of your choice. If you do not already have a hosting company I recommend using http:www.cafe150.com and taking advantage of their great free hosting package. Next you will need to get your website uploaded to your cafe150 account.

Now its time to go to Godaddy.com and buy yourself a domain name. Just type in the domain name that you want and see if it is available. If not then try something else, or put dashes in between your words.

Now that you have a domain name you need to login to Godaddy and click on the top left button “Domains” than choose “My Domain Names” from the drop down menu. You should now be in the Manage Domains section of your Godaddy member account. In this window you will need to click the empty box in front of your domain name and click on the “Forward Domains” button. Now, on the right side of the screen you will see a blank field called “Forward To” where you will type in the full URL to your cafe150 website. (ex. http://XXXXXX.cafe150.com)

If you want your new domain name to stay in the visitors Internet Explorer address window then you will want to turn on the “Mask Domain” option by clicking in the empty box. Immediately after masking your domain three other empty text boxes will become editable. In these boxes you can enter all of your Meta information:
Meta Title—> This is your website Title
Meta Description—> This is just a description of your website
Meta Keywords—> These are the keywords people will search to find your website

Now click on the “Save Changes” button and you are done. The forwarding should work immediately, although It might take a little while for the changes to propagate.
