First off, I just started an affiliate program for my main business website (NeutralExistence.com) and I searched all over the place for a good affiliate management system. I found one called “Post Affiliate Pro” (Not an Affiliate Link) and I have been using it and I really like it. It allows me to easily manage all of my affiliates, upload new banners and test ads really easily. Also, it has some really nice tracking tools so i can see whats going on with all of my traffic and clicks and I can tie it into Google analytics, which is also pretty cool. So, if you are thinking about starting an affiliate program to help get some of your products sold, DO IT, this is a great way to increase your revenue, without additional advertising cost.

Another really cool website/web-tool is a company called ClearSpring which helps you make and share widgets. Widgets are the new “Thing” on the web and the one that I made above and mine actually links into my affiliate program, so my affiliates can use that widget on their website to generate sales. This type of setup is a little more technical, but just making a widget is not too dificult, you can use Clearspring or another good widget maker is WidgetBox. Take a look and have some fun making your own widgets, and then start thinking about how you can use them to help make your marketing more viral.

One last website before I go. This one is all about social marketing to rank higher on google. The site is Webel and I must say, his tactics really do work. I have been using them to promote a few different websites and they have helped me rank much better for some pretty high competition keywords. I have basically started a new business (NeutralExistence.com), which I have been working on for about a year and it has nothing to do with internet marketing. However, I have used everything I know about internet marketing to build it, advertise it and manage it. From the marketing, affiliate program, social media, video and soon to be podcast, there are a lot of facets of this business which I will begin to share here on this blog.

I have quit all MLM type programs except for the “green MLM” because I feel it is one of the few truly legitimate network marketing businesses with a real product that people need and want. I have stopped promoting all others because they just dont work.

The fact is, if you want to do well on the internet, you cant just sell some prepackaged money making opp, its just wrong and it wont work. A few people will get rich and all the rest will not.

Anyway, from now on I will continue to write about internet marketing and do product reviews on things that i use to do my business. Some of the links I post will be affiliate links and i will disclose that from now on as I want to remain as transparent as possible. This blog will really just be about helping individuals who are new to internet marketing and building their own business.

This system of web advertising was developed because of the slipping ad revenue on TV. The ads which will be played over this network are currently large well know companies looking to brand themselves into the mind of the consumers. Companies such as Taco Bell, Harley Davidson, etc…, but don’t worry, the ads will use the same crawling technology that Adsense uses to be sure to play targeted ads that work well with your particular website topic.

As an added bonus, the company who came up with this idea, NetAudioAds, has made a little affiliate program out of it to help spread the word about this new form of advertising before it opens the bidding in February. They allow you to earn from site owners that you refer. Oh and did I mention that this project is backed by one of the largest search engine companies around?

Anyway, if your interested in earning from every single visitor to your website as opposed to only visitors that click on your adsense ads, you may want to give this company a try, it costs nothing to join, so there are no hidden fees or as I call them “gotchas”. Now there are allot of video sites out there that you can submit to, but none are as large as Youtube.com. Allot of people will tell you to just go and submit your movie and wait for loads of traffic. Unfortunately, its not that simple, you still need to get people to your movie to view it and entice them to visit your website after watching it.

One of he main things you MUST do is to put a watermark on the entire movie, my suggestion is to put your website URL in the bottom corner throughout the entire movie. Another great method is to build in a redirect link into the movie, so that after someone views your movie, they are redirected to your website. Cam Studio is a great little program to help you make screen capture videos and add redirect links to the video. Cam Studio is also only 9 bucks so it is well worth the money.

Now once you finish making a movie, its time to submit it to youtube.com, but don’t expect flocks of people to instantly begin viewing your movie, unless of course you have a secret weapon. TubeInator is a brand new program which will help you get the massive amounts of traffic that you want from youtube. The TubeInator works similar to the Myspace Friend Adders by creating a very large distribution list to which you can promote your videos to.

With TubeInator, you can add unlimited friends, leave comments on other peoples videos (with URLs of course), save list of ID’s to work with, work with as many accounts as you desire, check statistics and target action by keywords. With Tubeinator, you can put your video efforts on overdrive and really get massive amounts of traffic from youtube.

Now the problem with Pay Per Click (PPC) is that its not good enough that someone simply visits your site, you must figure out a way to convert those clicks into people willing to talk to you on the phone or buy a product. This will usually result in a 3%-8% conversion rate, which means that over 92% of the people simply leave your website never to return. This conversion rate can still create a very successful campaign is everything is done correctly, however, more often then not, the average person will loose alot of money on PPC campaigns.

Don’t get discouraged though because there is a new form of this type of paid advertising and it is called Pay Per Call. When I first saw it i though “wow this is ingenious and perfect.” It is basically like putting your business in the phone book, but instead of reaching a local market it reaches worldwide across the web.

An 8:00 AM EST send time generates the highest open rate of 50.6%. Interestingly sending at 9:00 AM EST has a significantly lower open rate of 33.7% with the worst time to send being 3-4 AM at only 19% open rate.

Plain text messages are the most popular format of sending newsletters with 65.9% of all newsletters sent. Mime format Text/HTML messages follow at 23.8% and a remaining 10.2% of customers still send HTML only messages even though it is strongly recommended to always include a plain text version.

Plain text messages generate the fewest undeliverable bounces at 0.46%. Mime format Text/HTML follows at 0.56% and HTML only messages have a whopping 1.09% undeliverable rate. This is a significant reason behind our recommendation to always send a plain text alternative with HTML formatted messages.

Subject line personalization using the date generated an average open rate of 51.4% compared to personalization using the subscriber’s first name generating 40.9% open rate. Newsletters sent without personalization of any type in the subject line generated average open rates of 28.9%.

17% of customer newsletter subject lines sent in the last 30 days contained date personalization while 19% used the subscriber’s first name. 56.3% of subject lines did not contain any type of personalization. Interestingly, using the subscriber’s full name or last name generated lower average open rates at 20%.

My friend, let me tell you, this is the best idea I have ever seen, in a huge niche market that is just foaming at the mouth for this service/product. What’s the service you ask?

Rentable Solar Power Panels at a fixed rate for 25 years…

Key word being “rentable” and this is precisely why this is working so well. You see a typical residential installation of a solar power system will run about $40,000 for the up front cost. This is not to mention the upkeep, maintenance and repair cost. This is why solar power hasn’t caught on like it should.

I’m not just repeating some sales pitch, I am an Architect by trade and the up front cost of Solar Power is just outrageous and unfortunately the majority will not have the foresight or willingness to spend that type of money.

This company is basically offering the equipment and install at not cost to the user. The only cost that the user incurs is the monthly rental price which will be equal to or less than your current electricity cost.

It takes the average cost per Kilowatt hour and looks at your usage and creates a monthly rental plan that will NOT be more than your current electrical cost. In fact, in the majority of the states, the cost will be less and you will see savings right away.

Even if you don’t see savings right away, considering that you can lock in the current rate for up to 25 years, with inflation and oil prices rising, you will save tens of thousands of dollars over the length of your contract. Not to mention, you will be doing your part to help the environment and reduce global warming.

The only negative thing I see about this company is that it is only focusing on the United States. Aside from that, this company, opportunity and product is absolutely fantastic.

The compensation plan allows independent associates to earn $300 installation bonuses and 5% of their customers’ monthly rental fee. As I stated before, this is an MLM so this structure goes 5 levels deep, so you can profit from your own sales group and the actions of your referred Associates.

Looking at this as a business, the attrition (client retention) rate will be in the high 90% because of the long term contracts, which means truly “Long Term Residual Income” for years to come.

Attrition is one of hardest thing to overcome in the MLM industry, because most of your time is spent replacing clients as opposed to producing new clients. With a product like this where the electricity it produces is considered a necessity, you will not have people canceling too often, if at all.

This company also dominates the MLM aspect by offering all of this opportunity with no cost and no monthly requirements. This is the “dirty little secret” of the MLM industry; most companies require a monthly purchase or subscription to stay eligible for income payouts. With this company, its free to join and free to be an associate and you still be paid no matter what, there are no month goals or minimum sales requirements… This is how MLM should be.

To conclude, I feel that this “green” movement to save the earth and decrease our dependencies on foreign oil has already created a very hungry market for this company. Considering in September of 2007 it will open the doors of the largest solar panel factory in the world, they will definitely corner this 18 Billion dollar market.

There are currently only a few hundred people who know about this opportunity, so the time to act is now, as this is comparable to getting in to Microsoft while they were just a few guys workout out of their garage.
